Role Overview
The Director of Growth is a high-impact role focused on capturing new federal business and scaling CompTech’s presence across U.S. defense agencies. Reporting directly to the CEO & President, this role requires in-depth knowledge of federal procurement processes, regulatory landscapes, and capture management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture new business opportunities using market intelligence.
- Drive pipeline, increase win rates, and boost market share.
- Analyze defense acquisition trends to identify high-value opportunities.
- Lead capture strategies through proposal, pricing, and execution phases.
- Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with defense agencies and military branches.
- Stay updated on policy and market dynamics affecting federal acquisition.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 10 years in business development and capture roles within the DoD market. A bachelor’s degree, extensive industry relationships, regulatory expertise including FAR and DFARS, and familiarity with federal contracts (FFP, CPFF, T&M) are required. US citizenship and active or eligible DoD Secret clearance required. Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading large-scale federal defense capture efforts.
- Proven skills in opportunity qualification, capture strategy, and relationship development.
- Strong communication, both in presentations and written formats.
- Experience with leveraging AI, data analytics, and automation for proposal excellence.
- Military background or prior federal service is highly valued.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary starts at $175k plus incentive plan and an attractive benefits package.
