About the Role
Our Strategic Growth team is the face of the company and the engine of our market expansion. As a Business Development Representative (Strategic Growth Partner), you are directly responsible for driving net-new pipeline for our Strategic Growth Team. This is a fully on-site role in our Chicago, IL office.
Responsibilities
- Educate the Compass Agent Community on the benefits of contributing to Strategic Growth.
- Partner with Compass Agents to identify Prospective Agents for introduction to a Strategic Growth Manager.
- Generate new business opportunities through inbound and outbound efforts.
- Outreach to prospective agents via cold calls, text, emails, and digital campaigns.
- Articulate value proposition and handle objections to create qualified opportunities.
- Collaborate with Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders on prospecting strategies.
- Document all activities within the CRM, maintaining data accuracy.
- Drive engagement with leads through creative follow-up communications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes.
- Analyze addressable markets and create demand for disruptive technology.
- Become a critical part of the high-performing team, adding value to SGM’s sales process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience (SDR, Customer Success/Service, Direct Sales, Account Management).
- Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, positive attitude, natural leader.
- Self-starter with ability to exercise judgment and problem-solve independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Track record of excellence in strategic, operational, and detail-demanding roles.
Compensation and Perks
The base pay range for this position is $38.46-$43.27 per hour ($80,000-$90,000 annualized), with potential for bonuses and RSUs. A comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, health insurance, 401(k), and more.
