Job Summary
The Senior Director of Dining Services is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of day-to-day Foodservice operations. This role involves managing and leading a dedicated team, cultivating strong client relationships, ensuring the profitability of the account, and fostering talent development within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates the department efficiently in accordance with the approved budget, ensuring maximum value for dollars spent.
- Ensures that all food offered to the client meets superior quality standards.
- Directs and conducts essential safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs.
- Maintains excellent relationships with clients and other departments within the St Joseph Medical Center community.
- Promotes the professional growth and development of the entire dining services team.
- Fosters strong inter-departmental relations and seamlessly integrates the dining service department with the facility's overall plan of operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of additional relevant experience.
- Minimum of five years of proven leadership expertise.
- Two to four years of direct foodservice operational management experience, including strong knowledge of inventory and purchasing control.
- Strong knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Knowledge of P&L accountability and prior contract-managed service experience is highly desirable.
- ServSafe® certification is a significant advantage.
- Must be forward-thinking, proactive, and represent the Company effectively.
