Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and implementing strategic labor objectives aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with HR and Operations to educate employees on organized labor issues and company policies.
- Support the negotiation and management of labor agreements, ensuring competitive and cost-effective outcomes.
- Oversee grievance and arbitration processes, representing the company in mediation and arbitration.
- Provide training and advice to operational management on CBA compliance and fostering a positive labor relations environment.
- Administer multiple labor agreements concurrently, ensuring adherence and effective issue resolution.
- Offer guidance on employee relations and CBA compliance to supervisory and management teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations, Business, or Human Resources; JD or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in labor relations, employee relations, or human resources in a unionized, multi-site environment.
- Proven ability to manage and negotiate multiple CBAs simultaneously.
- Experience in objective investigations, grievance handling, and preparing for arbitration.
- Strong negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel 40%+ by air and automobile.
- Experience in food, vending, and support services is advantageous.
- Familiarity with National Labor Relations Act rules and precedents.
- Preference for bilingual candidates (e.g., Spanish).
- Proficiency in remote communication and negotiation technology.
