Responsibilities

• Assist Information Security team members with various security initiatives.
• Conduct daily review of security logs and alerts, investigating as needed.
• Monitor and analyze the internal phishing mailbox, escalating issues when necessary.
• Perform testing and document new security initiatives.
• Assist with user access provisioning and de-provisioning.
• Contribute to risk assessments for vendor management and new technologies.
• Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Complete all required training in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Information Security department, under the oversight of the Director of Information Security.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong communication skills.
• Working knowledge of basic Information Security and IT terms and processes.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, remaining on task.
• Valid driver's license required.
• No prior experience required, but some Information Security and/or IT experience is preferred.

Other Job Information

• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Location: Syracuse, NY or Canton, NY
• Duration: 2 Semesters (Summer 2026 - Fall 2026) - approximately 6 months
• Pay: $16.00 - $19.67 per hour
