About the Role
The Data Quality & Verification Specialist is responsible for leading data quality initiatives, including verification processes, quality assurance protocols, and cross-functional collaboration. This role involves using tools such as Power Query, advanced Excel (including VBA), and technical scripts to maintain high data standards across the organization.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Data Verification and Quality Assurance (40%): Lead annual and quarterly data verification, develop quality assurance protocols, perform root cause analysis, and clean data using technical tools.
- Process Design & Resource Curation (30%): Draft data entry guidelines, collaborate with support and data associates, and create user resources and presentations.
- Develop and Review System Requirements (15%): Review field logic and system workflows, partner for testing enhancements, and maintain data integrity documentation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration (15%): Liaise with program, grants, and research teams, and support end-user issues related to reporting.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education, data analytics, or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience. Must have 2+ years working with advanced Excel formulas, VBA, and Power Query. A track record in managing complex projects, strong technical and non-technical collaboration skills, and attention to detail are essential.
Preferred Skills & Other Details
Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is preferred. Occasional travel up to 10% may be required. Interviews will be conducted via phone or video conference.
