Position Summary

The Electrical AutoCAD Technician is responsible for basic design services, drafting, and technical tasks as part of a project team for multiple energy clients. This role involves producing engineering drawings and documents in alignment with company and client AutoCAD drafting guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical equipment designs, schematics, and layouts on AutoCAD
  • Create, review, and update installation documentation and drawings
  • Integrate red-line drawings into standard packages and resolve design issues
  • Support commissioning activities with engineers and technicians
  • Assist in modifying documentation to complete drawing packages
  • Maintain accurate and updated project documentation
  • Communicate effectively with project engineers and team members
  • Handle multiple priorities in an organized manner

Requirements

  • Full-time hourly position (40+ hrs/week, overtime eligible)
  • AutoDesk AutoCAD certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD and engineering design
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam CAD is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Travel required up to 20-30%
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in varied environments
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing
