Job Description

Job Summary

The Cybersecurity Intern will work closely with CFP’s Cybersecurity Team, IT Support, and Infrastructure groups to strengthen our security posture and support day‐to‐day protection of our digital environment. Gain hands-on experience with security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management across corporate and mill‐level systems.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Assessment & Analysis:

  • Assist in conducting cybersecurity risk assessments across systems.
  • Support third‑party vendor risk reviews and compliance checks.
  • Identify gaps in security controls, policies, and processes.
  • Track risk findings and document remediation actions.

Security Governance & Compliance:

  • Help maintain and update internal security policies and procedures.
  • Support alignment with industry frameworks like NIST CSF.
  • Participate in internal audits and compliance activities.
  • Assist in reporting cybersecurity metrics and trends.

Incident Preparedness & Resilience:

  • Evaluate incident response plans and business continuity documentation.
  • Participate in tabletop exercises and simulation drills.
  • Assist in documenting lessons learned and updating procedures.

Vulnerability & Threat Risk Evaluation:

  • Support vulnerability tracking and risk scoring.
  • Assist with asset inventories and system classification.
  • Analyze threat intelligence pertinent to manufacturing operations.

Awareness & Communication:

  • Develop materials to help employees recognize cybersecurity risks.
  • Provide insights to HR, IT, and mill leadership.
  • Promote a culture of risk‐aware decision‑making.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
