What We Do

What You Will Do
This role is a blend of Data Engineer, Data Scientist, and Business Analyst. You will build end-to-end data flows, establish subject matter expertise, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver impactful data solutions.
Be the Expert: Quickly build expertise in specific business areas and data domains through understanding data creation, ingestion, transformation, and delivery. Examples include initiating new data pipelines and resolving data gaps across the stack.
Generate Business Value: Interface with stakeholders to deliver commercial value. This includes building new data models, merging detailed engineering insights with statistical analysis, and developing holistic frameworks.
Focus on Outcomes Not Tools: Identify appropriate frameworks and paradigms for delivering value. Develop new abstractions and use established tools such as SQL and Python to maintain high speed and quality.
What We Look For in You
- Data Modeling Expertise: Proficiency in designing modular, reusable data models.
- Prompt Design and Engineering: Experience in creating and optimizing prompts for LLMs.
- Advanced SQL: Expertise in SQL for data transformation and querying.
- Intermediate to Advanced Python: Skilled in scripting, OOP, and scalable framework development.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Data Pipeline Development: Proven experience with ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt and Airflow.
- Data Visualization: Competence in building dashboards with Looker, Tableau, Superset, or Python libraries.
- Development Tools: Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD practices and modern development workflows.
- Data Architecture: Understanding of data lake/warehouse architectures and transformation frameworks.
- Business Acumen: Proven ability to address business challenges through analytics engineering.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
