Role Overview
As a Payments Risk Analyst II, you will join the Payments Risk Analytics team. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating payments risk on critical payment rails without impacting core metrics and customer experience. This role reports to the Manager of Payments Risk for NAMER and UK/EU regions and is based remotely in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, investigate, and mitigate fraudulent deposit activity.
- Implement logic targeting high-risk and unauthorized deposit actions.
- Review alerts on anomalous customer and transaction behavior.
- Develop core metrics and dashboards for fraud performance analysis.
- Manage end-to-end risk controls and scale monitoring processes.
- Communicate with banking partners and internal stakeholders.
- Use SQL and data analysis to assess risk impact.
- Synthesize data insights into compelling stories for leadership.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of combating push payment fraud.
- 2+ years experience with data analysis and SQL.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of pull payment processes and fraud investigations.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Haves
- Understanding of statistical concepts.
- Experience with Python, R, or machine learning models.
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics and crypto fraud trends.
Compensation & Benefits
Full time role with a target annual salary range of $135,320 to $159,200 USD, including bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
