The Opportunity: Product Marketing Manager
The Product Marketing Manager at Cohere will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies specifically for artificial intelligence (AI) products. A primary focus of this role is to drive product adoption and accelerate business growth. This individual will lead the strategic direction and go-to-market efforts for product positioning and competitive differentiation across all phases of the buyer and customer journey.
This position demands a deep understanding of AI technologies combined with the ability to create and implement effective marketing strategies that boost growth, market share, and competitiveness. The Product Marketing Manager will work collaboratively with various cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, core marketing teams, sales staff, and senior company leadership, to ensure the successful execution of all marketing initiatives.
Key responsibilities include optimizing marketing strategies, managing comprehensive product launches, developing impactful sales enablement materials, and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to foster product innovation.
In This Role You Will
- Collaborate with product managers to define key value propositions and target markets for demand-driving campaigns.
- Devise and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns, promotions, and content marketing initiatives.
- Build and deliver effective sales trainings and collateral to empower sales teams.
- Ensure a consistent brand voice and tone across all marketing content.
- Partner with internal teams and external partners to deliver content on schedule and aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee strategic product launches from beta through General Availability, ensuring all targets are met.
- Enable sales teams at all levels on Cohere’s unique value proposition and messaging.
- Conduct thorough competitive analysis to inform product development, pricing, and overall marketing strategies.
Is This You?
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
- 5+ years of product marketing experience within Enterprise software and SaaS environments.
- High level of technical acumen and a strong understanding of complex technologies.
- Ability to thrive and operate effectively in a fast-moving and constantly changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with conviction and diplomacy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability.
