About The Role
As a Senior Finance Analyst, Polish Speaking (Record to Report Accountant and Analyst) at Cognizant, you will play a crucial role in managing the accounting and finance activities for Cognizant’s entities in Eastern Europe. You will be an integral member of the Finance team, collaborating closely with local teams and various internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
In This Role, You Will
- Support local Finance Managers in various capacities.
- Manage monthly and quarterly closing and management reporting activities, including preparing journals, reconciling balance sheets, reviewing accrual calculations, analyzing bookings, and providing P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis.
- Ensure local compliance by preparing and submitting statistical reports to government and the National Bank, supporting financial statement and CIT return preparation, and assisting with audits.
- Perform operational duties such as investigating booking mismatches, initiating manual payments, and collaborating with diverse internal and external teams and service providers.
Work Arrangement

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or a CPA qualification.
- At least 2 years of work experience in an accounting or financial environment, including bookkeeping.
- Fluency in English and professional working proficiency in Polish (both written and verbal).
- Proficient Excel user (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- A collaborative team player who can also work effectively independently.
- Openness to learning new concepts and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
- Possess a strong control mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
These Will Help You Stand Out
- Knowledge of IFRS / US-GAAP accounting practices and principles.
- Experience working in a multinational or Shared Service Center (SSC) environment.
- Expertise in VAT, CIT, and WHT (withholding tax).
- Experience with Oracle (PeopleSoft) or Hyperion.
