Job Summary

The Cloud Specialist at Cognizant is involved in collaboration and SharePoint content migration projects, including implementations and migrations across various SharePoint versions (2016, 2019, SharePoint Online) and One Drive for Business.

Responsibilities

The role includes:

  • Implementation and migration of SharePoint and One Drive for Business.
  • Migrating content from legacy systems like Lotus Notes.
  • Using third party migration tools such as Metalogix, Quest, and ShareGate.
  • Serving as technical lead/SME and mentoring team members.
  • Executing design migration documentation based on project requirements.
  • Handling installations, configurations, integrations, and troubleshooting of SharePoint and IIS.
  • Deploying, patching, and upgrading SharePoint Farm and IIS systems.
  • Managing backups and restores.
  • Working with Virtualization, Windows AD, Exchange, DNS, and Microsoft clusters.
  • Utilizing MS SQL knowledge and PowerShell scripting.
