Major Responsibilities for Connected Car Engineer

As a Connected Car Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of intelligent cockpit features. Your primary responsibilities will include executing comprehensive software tests across various functions and meticulously analyzing any issues found. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying valid bugs, managing tickets through their entire lifecycle, and maintaining accurate test reports.

  • Execute cross-functional software tests on various intelligent cockpit functions.
  • Consolidate and make pre-analysis on found issues.
  • Identify valid bugs from issues, raise tickets, and follow the entire ticket management process.
  • Maintain and regularly upgrade testing platforms (test vehicles / test racks).
  • Make test reports on time and in high quality.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with various stakeholders to achieve project goals. You will also be responsible for supporting the test lead in developing test plans, arranging test drives, and contributing to the growth and development of junior team members through mentoring. Furthermore, you will assist in knowledge consolidation and business acquisition efforts.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders.

Competencies and Capability & Skills

To succeed as a Connected Car Engineer, a strong foundation in software testing methodologies is essential. You should possess a solid understanding of intelligent cockpit functions and features, with an advantage if you have experience with T-Box, smartphone, and vehicle interaction. Familiarity with problem management tools like ALM or JIRA is required, alongside an understanding of vehicle E/E architecture, ECUs, and bus communication.

  • Strong knowledge in software testing methodologies.
  • Solid understanding in Intelligent Cockpit function and features.
  • Experience with T-Box, smartphone & vehicle interaction is an advantage.
  • Familiar with problem management tools e.g., ALM, JIRA or similar tools.
  • Understanding in vehicle E/E architecture such as ECUs and Bus communication.
  • Sensitiveness on bug finding and able to think from user perspective.
  • Strong hands-on ability, able to operate common E/E measurement tools such as multimeter and oscilloscope.

The ideal candidate will also have experience working within an Agile development process and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Good driving skills are preferred, and excellent written and oral English language skills are mandatory. We are looking for a structured, disciplined, highly motivated individual with a willingness to learn, who also demonstrates strong communication, presentation, reporting, and teamwork abilities.

  • Experience in working with Agile development process.
  • Microsoft Office skills (WORD / EXCEL / POWERPOINT / PROJECT).
  • Good driving skill is preferred.
  • Excellent language skills in English (written and oral) mandatory.
  • Communication, presentation, reporting and team player skills.
  • Structured and disciplined.
  • Highly motivated, willingness to learn.
