Trade Spend Rebate Operations Lead

Codvo.ai is a fast-growing technology firm focused on AI and human automation for complex finance operations. Our mission is to help large enterprises recover lost margin, reduce disputes, and strengthen compliance in rebates, trade promotions, and finance reconciliation.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Trade Spend Rebate Operations Lead with a background in CPG or Retail to act as the domain authority. This role will partner with CFOs and finance leaders, guiding internal product, AI, and operations teams to align solutions with the real-world complexities of promotions, deductions, and claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in rebate and trade spend operations.
  • Translate contracts and rebate terms into operational pain points recognized by CFOs.
  • Define requirements for automation of rebate logic including tiers, thresholds, accruals, and FX.
  • Build best practices for reconciliation, deduction validation, and exception handling.
  • Provide audit-ready frameworks for finance and compliance requirements.
  • Support client delivery teams and enable thought leadership in this domain.

Qualifications

  • 8–12 years in CPG, Retail, or related industries with depth in trade spend, deductions, and rebate management.
  • Hands-on experience with rebate agreements and claims validation.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), TPM tools (Exceedra, Blacksmith, Aforza), and CLM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the P&L impact of rebates, accruals, and working capital.
  • Excellent communication skills for bridging finance operations with CFO-level discussions.
