About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned DevOps professional with over 6 years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience in production environments, particularly within cloud-native or large-scale distributed systems. This part-time training role involves delivering structured, real-world training for our DevOps Bootcamp. The training commitment is daily 2 hours, Monday to Friday, online, starting February 23.
Required Experience & Skills
- 6+ years of professional DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience
- Strong foundation in DevOps fundamentals & industry best practices
- Extensive experience with Linux systems administration and shell scripting (Bash)
- Advanced knowledge of Git and version control workflows
- Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Strong practical expertise with Docker and containerization
- Production-level experience with Kubernetes (cluster setup, deployments, scaling, troubleshooting)
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) including compute, networking, IAM, storage, and monitoring services
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation / similar tools)
- Knowledge of monitoring & logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible or similar)
- Strong understanding of system reliability, scalability, security, and cost optimization in production environments
- Familiarity with high-availability architecture and disaster recovery strategies
Additional Experience
- Proven experience working in real production environments (not just academic or lab exposure)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to teach with hands-on demonstrations and real-world use cases
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle live training sessions
- Comfortable switching between structured teaching and interactive problem-solving
