Overview: Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
CodeRound AI is seeking a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for one of their VC-backed client companies, which has successfully raised $7M USD in funding. This role is crucial for owning and scaling the cloud platform that powers high-availability, production-grade applications. You will be at the forefront of infrastructure architecture, container orchestration, and DevOps practices, collaborating closely with Engineering, Security, and Product teams. This position is perfect for engineers passionate about building resilient systems, leading strategic infrastructure decisions, and empowering engineering teams to achieve faster and safer deployments.

What You’ll Do
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Design, deploy, and manage production-grade cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP/Azure.
- Own and scale Kubernetes clusters for high-traffic, mission-critical services.
- Build and maintain containerized workloads using Docker.
CI/CD & Automation
- Architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for reliable, automated deployments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Drive automation across build, test, and deployment workflows.
Reliability, Security & Observability
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance across environments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using modern observability tools.
- Lead cloud security best practices including IAM, secrets management, and network policies.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor infrastructure and DevOps engineers.
- Partner with application teams to improve deployment workflows and platform reliability.
- Own incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You’re a Great Fit If You
- Have 6+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Have extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production.
- Have built and managed CI/CD pipelines at scale.
- Are proficient with Terraform or other IaC tools.
- Have experience operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Understand system reliability, scalability, and security best practices.
- Have led or mentored engineers in fast-paced environments.
- Take strong ownership of infrastructure and operational excellence.
