The Role
Location: Remote, United States Role Type: Full-Time Reporting to: Chief Product Officer Compensation: $135,000 to $175,000 per year
The Director of Curriculum is a senior leadership role responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of CodePath’s entire curriculum portfolio. You will set long-term curriculum direction while shaping high-impact courses in AI-native software engineering, technical interview preparation, cybersecurity, and web development.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Strategy & Portfolio Ownership: Lead long-term strategy, own the product roadmap, and maintain course catalog.
- Course Development & Quality: Design, launch, and refine courses aligned with industry needs.
- Team Leadership & Operations: Build and manage a high-performing curriculum team and processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Learning, Engineering, Platform, Revenue, and Employer Partnerships.

With generative AI reshaping development, the Director of Curriculum defines how CodePath bridges the gap between academic programs and industry expectations. You will drive a modular, flexible curriculum architecture and prepare students to become AI-native software engineers.
Key Success Metrics (12–18 Months)
- Establish a clear, AI-first curriculum strategy and modular architecture.
- Refresh and improve the majority of existing courses.
- Launch 2-3 new AI-focused courses with strong outcomes.
- Build a scalable curriculum function with effective hiring of new FTEs.
Qualifications
- Strong software engineering background with experience in curriculum design.
- Expertise in computer science education and instructional leadership.
- Experience managing end-to-end technical curriculum for thousands of learners.
- Proven leadership in managing teams and incorporating AI-first curriculum processes.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in AI-native, GenAI, or applied ML curriculum design.
- Knowledge of open-source software development and community models.
- Familiarity with fast-growing, mission-driven organizations and platform-based learning environments.
