Description
Reporting to the CTO, the Director of Offensive Security Research & Community leads Cobalt’s fusion of in-house security research with a global community of ethical hackers. You will inspire, innovate, and demonstrate expertise in offensive cybersecurity while engaging with a network of highly skilled security consultants and researchers.
What You'll Do
- Set and execute strategy for recruiting, engaging, and retaining offensive security experts.
- Develop guidelines and methodologies for high-quality security services.
- Collaborate with product management to integrate advanced security tools into our platform.
- Lead the Cobalt Core in novel security research and responsible disclosure.
- Represent Cobalt at industry conferences and customer events.
You Have
- 7+ years delivering offensive security services including penetration testing and red teaming.
- Experience in consulting or managed security services with senior technical presentations.
- Strong team management skills and proven record of developing high performing teams.
- Dynamic public speaking skills with experience at tier-one cybersecurity conferences.
- Community building experience is a significant plus.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $183,200 - $229,000 per year + equity + benefits.
