Overview
The Compliance Officer - Remote plays a central role in supporting assigned Bank Business Lines and/or BaaS FinTech Partners. This role is responsible for enhancing the Compliance Management System (CMS) in line with the bank’s growth strategy and risk appetite, while providing strategic regulatory compliance advice and problem-solving expertise.
Responsibilities
- Governance: Assist in developing, administering, and monitoring the CMS, assess compliance risks, and ensure adherence to applicable laws.
- Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with FinTech Partners, Compliance Leadership, and external parties including auditors and regulators.
- Assessment: Lead complaint analysis, issue management, and compliance risk assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Reporting & Analytics: Assist in regulatory reporting, audit responses, and preparing clear compliance updates for leadership.
- Administrative: Support filing processes, research laws and regulations, and assist on compliance and risk management projects.
Qualifications
Candidates are expected to have 8+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or legal roles in financial services, preferably with Fintech exposure. A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is required, along with a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation or the ability to obtain one within a year. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
