About the Role
The Assistant Manager, Learning Experience & Design at Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) supports the Manager, Learning Experience by leading the design and delivery of learning solutions. Operating in Metro Vancouver, CMBC is one of BC’s Top Employers and the largest operating company in the integrated TransLink enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Manager to develop L&D strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
- Oversee design, development, delivery, and evaluation of innovative learning solutions.
- Manage Instructional Design staff and internal/external vendors.
- Administer and enhance the Learning Management System (LMS) and digital learning solutions.
- Serve as a change agent to embed a strong learning culture.
Qualifications
An undergraduate degree in Instructional Design, Education or similar; minimum five years in instructional material design in corporate settings; and at least two years in a supervisory role with experience in multi-modal learning programs.
Other Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of training program concepts and instructional design techniques.
- Experience with emerging technologies, including AI in instructional design.
- Expertise in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia) and LMS administration.
- Strong project and change management skills.
Working Conditions
This is a hybrid role offering flexibility to work on-site and remotely within British Columbia. It includes a competitive salary range and additional benefits such as Extended Health, Dental, Transit Pass, and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan.
