Key Responsibilities of a Motion Graphics / Video Editor

Your main duties will involve creating compelling video and animated content for both Coalition Technologies and its diverse client base. This includes:

• Developing promotional videos for company and client use.
• Designing videos and animated banners for various ad campaigns.
• Producing short-format videos for social media platforms like Instagram Stories, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
• Creating text, logo, character, and other animations for videos, websites, and emails.
• Adhering to project briefs, utilizing provided scripts, design assets, and footage.
• Generating creative ideas, including scriptwriting and storyboarding.
• Participating in client meetings and collaborating with Digital Producers to achieve client video and animation goals.
• Working closely with graphic designers, copywriters, and the PPC team to define project vision, develop creative concepts, and balance visual appeal with performance requirements.
• Encoding videos to required formats and uploading to various media sources.
• Staying updated on the latest trends in storytelling, video production, and social media.
• Ensuring timely project completion, adhering to company methodology and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

To succeed as a Motion Graphics / Video Editor, you should possess a strong foundation in video editing and motion graphics, along with practical skills and the right setup:

• Proven experience in motion graphics and video editing.
• Proficiency with industry-standard video editing software.
• Ability to write and produce short-form promotional videos from concept to completion.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
• Experience producing videos and animation for social media and YouTube (preferred).
• Experience with online advertising (a plus).
• Graphic design, 3D modeling, and/or illustration skills (a plus).
• Access to your own camera, lighting, and dedicated space for video shooting.
• Capability to record high-quality narrations.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to manage pressure and meet tight deadlines effectively.
• Experience presenting materials professionally to clients.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm PST.
• A reliable workstation with a fast computer for video editing.
• Required equipment: microphone, speakers, reliable internet, and power.

Compensation Information

For candidates located in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, the starting base pay for this Motion Graphics / Video Editor position ranges between $17 - $35 per hour. Compensation may be adjusted based on factors such as experience, qualifications, performance in skills tests, geographic location, and the seniority of the offered position. For locations outside these specified states, compensation may fall outside the given range.
