Position Overview
The Complex Claims Consultant at CNA Insurance is focused on managing and resolving legal malpractice claims for law firms with less than 35 attorneys. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise in interpreting complex policy coverages and resolving claims efficiently while collaborating with internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an inventory of complex professional liability claims
- Verify policy coverage and establish timely reserves
- Conduct investigations and lead focused claim evaluations
- Negotiate settlements and manage claim budgets
- Collaborate with internal teams, coverage counsel, and litigation partners
- Mentor and train less experienced claim professionals
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum six years of relevant experience with a strong analytical mindset. A JD is preferred, and candidates must be able to obtain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire. Experience in negotiating, litigation, and interpreting complex commercial insurance policies is essential.
