About the Mortgage Quality Control Analyst - West Coast Role

The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for reviewing loan files to ensure adherence to underwriting, closing and Agency/Investor guidelines. The role involves pre-funding and post-closing reviews for compliance and requires strong Conventional QC experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Re-underwrite daily and monthly loan files selected for audit.
• Re-calculate income and assets per loan program requirements.
• Confirm accuracy of AUS findings in comparison with LOS documentation.
• Identify fraud, red flags, errors and loan file deficiencies.
• Ensure loan files conform to CMG guidelines and procedures.
• Perform thorough appraisal reviews as per program requirements.
• Utilize online tools and request reverification of documentation as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum three to five years of Mortgage Quality Control experience with knowledge of internal audit procedures, regulations, and underwriting. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high integrity and confidentiality.

Physical and Environmental Conditions

This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment using standard office equipment. Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

This is a remote role within the United States. Hours align with West Coast timing, starting at 8AM PT or later. Compensation is hourly, based on QC/UW experience.
