About the Role

The Lead Analyst Corporate Strategy and Business Development at CME Group works cross-functionally to analyze, contextualize, and recommend strategic choices for the enterprise. This role supports key partnership initiatives, enterprise direction, market structure, innovation, commercialization, business unit strategies, and ecosystem research.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Support strategy teams with analytics, presentations, and financial databases.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and develop business unit strategies.
  • Manage project scopes, plans, and communications with business leaders.
  • Conduct research and analysis to understand competitive dynamics.
  • Identify opportunities including M&A, joint ventures, and partnerships.
  • Contribute to agenda development and internal alignment for corporate strategy.
  • Mentor peers and share best practices to grow analytical skills.

Experiences and Skills

Minimum 6+ years experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, product management, or business development required; financial services experience is a plus. Must demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Bloomberg, Gen AI, Capital IQ, and business intelligence tools.

Education and Benefits

Bachelor’s degree is required and an MBA or postgraduate degree in an analytical field is a plus.
