About the Role

The Lines Transformation Department at CMA CGM is at the forefront of leveraging data, artificial intelligence, and new technologies to enhance commercial and operational performance across various lines, including pricing, allocation, revenue optimization, and internal productivity. Projects within this team have high visibility, directly influencing senior management and the Executive Committee, and play a crucial role in the Group's strategic decisions. We are seeking a Data Innovation Project Manager to join the Head of Data team for the Lines and Pricing department. This role is pivotal in structuring, driving, and accelerating data and AI initiatives by blending business acumen, strategic foresight, and execution excellence.

What You Will Do

You will be a key driver of data innovation within the Lines Division, responsible for identifying, structuring, and implementing high-impact business projects through the strategic use of data, AI, and technological advancements.

• Management and Structuring of Data & AI Projects: Frame initiatives by defining business issues, value assumptions, and feasibility. Prioritize projects based on business impact and complexity. Ensure functional management by collaborating with CMA IT, Infosys, AI Factory, and the Pricing, Allocation & Cargo Flow teams. Challenge business needs to define clear roadmaps and ensure alignment between business ambitions and delivery capabilities.
• Business Analysis and Data: Conduct in-depth analyses to objectively assess issues and inform decision-making. Develop a thorough understanding of pricing, allocation, and cargo flow challenges. Translate complex requirements into actionable data use cases and identify optimization opportunities through analytics, AI, and automation.
• Accelerating Innovation & AI: Co-develop innovative projects with start-ups, technology partners, and customers. Identify relevant AI and agentic use cases for the shipping lines. Drive the adoption of AI within the department, launching Proofs of Concept (POCs)/Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and transitioning promising initiatives into structured projects. Stay abreast of the latest data and AI innovations in the shipping industry.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Unite multidisciplinary teams around shared objectives. Foster momentum for execution and transformation. Engage with senior management and contribute to strategic support. Champion a clear and ambitious vision for the lines' data transformation journey.

Profile Description

• 5 to 10 years of experience.
• Solid experience in data or digital projects with significant business impact.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Good understanding of digital transformation challenges.
• Ability to quickly assess the value of a use case.
• Strong interest in AI and new models, including agentics.
• Business understanding is crucial.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior business stakeholders.
• Aptitude and willingness to collaborate with expert data engineers and data scientists.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
• Proven experience with Jira and other management tools.
• Fluent in French and English is essential.
• SQL proficiency is a plus.
