Job Summary
The Assistant Project Scheduler supports Operations staff to ensure projects follow Clune's scheduling standards and assists in creating and managing project schedules. Reporting to the Scheduling Manager and Senior Scheduling Manager, individuals in this role are responsible for tasks requiring basic scheduling knowledge under regional and national supervision.
Essential Skills
- Properly identifies out-of-sequence work or delayed activities.
- Communicates schedule updates clearly and professionally under supervision.
- Communicates clearly when activities are delayed or logic becomes invalid.
- Provides feedback on templates and workflows to improve efficiency at the project level.
- Develops an understanding of construction methods, trade sequencing, and project delivery approaches to improve schedule realism.
- Demonstrates attention to detail when entering and updating schedule data to maintain logic and accuracy.
- Generates basic schedule reports, including look-ahead schedules and simple activity listings, with supervision.
- Maintains accurate data and communicates clearly when activities are delayed or logic becomes invalid.
- Creates and maintains accurate diagrams or map templates under supervision.
- Applies foundational understanding to activity sequencing and schedule structure to support the development of project schedules under supervision.
- Develops a fundamental understanding of Clune's project scheduling software.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering is preferred, but work experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial construction experience with exposure to scheduling concepts.
- Solid background in construction trades and technical knowledge.
- Familiarity of scheduling software including P6, Microsoft Project (Microsoft Office Products), and/or Phoenix PM.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam or other PDF mark-up software is preferred.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
- Regular workdays and hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders and walk on uneven ground.
