About the Role
The Assistant MEP Coordinator focuses on the proper planning, installation, startup, and commissioning of key MEP equipment. The position is essential in Mission Critical environments, but also helps with Health Care and TI projects. Responsibilities include coordination of the MEP model, guidance with processing MEP submittals, provide expertise with MEP related RFIs, track MEP construction progress, organize startup and commissioning documentation, and work with subcontractor and vendors to close punch list items.
Essential Functions
- Role model professionally for Interns, Project Engineers, Senior Project Engineers, and new AMEPs.
- Identify and prioritize MEP information for Project Management team during Preconstruction.
- Initiate and schedule 3D Model coordination for assigned projects.
- Ownership of MEP related MOPs and cutover activities for assigned projects.
- Ownership of commissioning documentation with subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning agent.
- Prioritize and schedule vendor startup and commissioning.
- Initiate and organize MEP client training.
- Become proficient in, and utilize, Clune established systems and technology to work efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Be an ambassador for Clune’s safety culture and OSHA standards to enforce a safe work environment and attend safety meetings.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or Engineering or equivalent industry experience required.
- 2-5 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare and/or mission-critical projects.
- Background in MEP trades and technical knowledge of construction methods a plus.
- Strong computer skills needed.
- Ability to navigate 3D modeling software a plus.
