Position Overview
The Research Associate is responsible for supporting the research function at CLSA. This role involves coordinating various research activities and collaborating with Senior Analysts on projects and client requests.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Analysts on specific research projects
- Perform due diligence, write research reports, and prepare presentations
- Develop financial models and maintain Excel spreadsheets
- Collect and compile data to answer client requests
- Maintain databases of economic and industry-specific data
- Conduct fundamental research on companies
- Accompany clients on visits and produce visit notes
- Maintain strong relationships with corporates, clients, government, and industry organizations
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline (Finance or Accounting preferred) and at least 2 years of relevant experience, ideally from a research or large accountancy background. Key skills include financial modelling, advanced Excel proficiency, strong problem solving, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and high commercial awareness.
