Overview
The Co-Founding General Partner Impact Fund role at Climate Action Partners is a partnership opportunity to design, structure, capitalize, and lead a new institutional investment vehicle focused on climate mitigation and adaptation in the Global South.
Fund Design & Structuring
Responsibilities include developing the investment thesis and differentiated strategy, structuring blended finance components, designing governance and incentive structures, engaging legal counsel, and defining impact measurement frameworks.
Capital Raising
Co-lead fundraising from DFIs, foundations, catalytic capital providers, institutional LPs, family offices, and impact investors. Develop LP materials, lead due diligence processes, and build strategic anchor LP relationships.
Pipeline Development & Investment Execution
Sourcing proprietary opportunities, structuring various investments (equity, quasi-equity, debt, carbon pre-purchase, offtake structures), leading due diligence and negotiations, and establishing risk management frameworks.
Platform Building
Hire initial team members, build brand credibility in climate and impact ecosystems, and represent the fund publicly.
Ideal Profile
Candidates should have experience raising or deploying capital in emerging markets, understand blended finance structures and DFI processes, possess credibility with institutional LPs and/or catalytic capital providers, and have experience in carbon projects. Experience in Africa, Latin America, South or Southeast Asia is highly valued.

This is a true co-founder GP opportunity focused on long-term platform building. It is not a salaried role within an existing fund, a passive advisory position, or a short-term project.
