The Data Engineering and Internal Products (DEIP) Team

The Data Engineering and Internal Products (DEIP) team is actively seeking a talented Software Engineer. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and continuously improving the platforms and services that empower both our external customers and various internal teams at Clever Inc.

• Empowering a Data-Driven Organization: You'll contribute to platforms that enable teams across Clever, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Executives, and Customer Success, to make informed, data-driven decisions. We are committed to continually enhancing data insights and activation.
• Helping Our Customers Be Data-Driven: Our customers value data, and we empower them with exceptional external analytics products to support their data-driven initiatives.
• Building Great Internal Products: You'll develop internal tools that Clever employees use daily, streamlining tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of the company.

A Day in the Life of a Software Engineer:

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building services and products that support scaling company processes, improving decision making, and empowering customers with actionable data. Your projects will include:

• Building and scaling our analytics pipeline for simplified data management, enabling rapid business and product analytics.
• Developing Clever’s internal products to enhance the productivity and security of our people and processes.
• Managing Clever’s data warehouse, optimizing it for scale as our user base and product surface area expand.
• Expanding and scaling our external analytics products to meet the growing analytics demands of our customers.

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Programming experience in a variety of software technologies, including but not limited to: Javascript, Go, Java, C++, SQL and noSQL databases, and cloud services.
• Demonstrated experience with data technologies.
• Strong technical documentation skills, with an appreciation for clear and complete documentation.
• Proven ability to be an effective team member and to work cross-functionally with other organizations.
• Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries to support analytics, data platform, and backend logic.
• Optional experience with AWS managed infrastructure is a plus (e.g., AWS Lambda, Kinesis, Redshift).
