About the Role
The Data Analyst, Fraud will join the Fraud Squad at Cleo to protect our users and business from emerging fraud threats. In this role, you will turn data into actionable insight, partner with cross-functional teams, and help shape the future of our fraud prevention strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Fraud Detection and Investigation: Review and investigate emerging fraud incidents, disputes, conduct root-cause analysis, and design mitigation strategies.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract large transactional data using SQL, build dashboards, monitor KPIs, and present actionable findings.
- Collaboration: Work with product, operations, compliance, customer service, and external fraud vendor/payment partners.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in a Fraud Data Analyst or similar role in payments, fintech or eCommerce.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis with a focus on fraud typologies like identity theft and payment fraud.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
Recruitment Process
Includes Recruiter Interview (30 mins), Technical Interview (60 mins), Whiteboard Interview (60 mins), and Final Interview (30 mins).
