What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of Clearco customers to reach robust credit decisions following established risk frameworks.
  • Perform detailed financial statement analysis and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the credit team to refine risk frameworks and underwriting processes.
  • Support ad-hoc internal requests and projects under time constraints.
  • Test and validate financial metrics and ratios to enhance analysis accuracy.
  • Maintain knowledge of internal financial underwriting frameworks, authorization limits, and escalation processes.
  • Perform KYB/KYC checks in line with compliance procedures to flag business risks.
  • Analyze portfolio segments to identify emerging risks and support remediation planning.
  • Advise on process improvements and operational efficiencies within the underwriting workflow.
  • Stay current on underwriting best practices and industry developments.

What You Will Bring

  • A degree in analytics, business, accounting, economics, or finance.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in finance, credit underwriting, consulting, or analytics.
  • Solid experience in financial underwriting, credit analysis, and risk management.
  • Working knowledge of SMB credit underwriting, preferably in commercial banking or specialty finance.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with technical platforms such as CRMs, SQL, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce business models and key performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills and team collaboration.
  • Interest in mentoring junior team members.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with revenue-based finance, fintech, or alternative finance products.
  • Knowledge of compliance related to privacy, KYC, and AML protocols.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and report writing, particularly for e-commerce brands.
  • Understanding of process automation and operational efficiency concepts.
