About the role
Technology Manager – Electronic Security Systems (ESS)
Clear. is looking for a senior technologist in Electronic Security Systems (ESS) to lead the global strategy, standards, and technology roadmap for ESS across our hyperscale data centre portfolio.
This is a strategic, high-impact role: you’ll guide how access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security platforms are architected, secured, and adopted globally. You’ll focus on technology direction and governance, balancing innovation with reliability, cybersecurity, privacy-by-design, and regulatory compliance—not day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the global ESS technology roadmap across all security technologies
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and turn them into actionable standards and adoption plans
- Define global reference architectures, technical standards, and design guidelines for ESS platforms and integrations
- Ensure interoperability, scalability, lifecycle management, and obsolescence planning across multi-vendor environments
- Define integration patterns with SOC/GSOC, PSIM, identity platforms, and IT systems
- Partner with IT and security teams to embed cybersecurity and privacy controls
- Lead vendor and integrator strategy, benchmarking, and technical evaluations
- Act as the technical authority for ESS, collaborating with Security Operations, Design & Construction, Facilities, Legal/Privacy, and Procurement teams
- Produce executive-ready technology roadmaps, standards, and guidance
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 7+ years working with electronic or physical security systems in data centres, critical facilities, or large enterprise environments
- Proven experience shaping technology roadmaps and standards for ESS
- Hands-on experience with enterprise access control and video systems
- Understanding of how ESS integrates with PSIM, SOC/GSOC tools, and enterprise IT
- Knowledge of security system cybersecurity and privacy-by-design principles
- Preferred certifications: PSP, CISSP, or relevant vendor certifications
