Summary
This position is responsible for performing structural analysis, civil engineering and drafting tasks related to cold formed steel framing in a fast-paced and high volume office environment.
Responsibilities
Process Management:
- Maintains customer relationships with prompt, courteous service.
- Increases specification through shop drawings and technical information.
- Builds relationships with internal account representatives and sales staff.
Engineering Design:
- Read and interpret drawings accurately.
- Produce CAD/BIM detail drawing packages and structural calculations.
- Perform structural analysis via software or manual methods.
- Collaborate with team members for timely project completion.
- Review and obtain necessary approvals from management.
- Make independent design decisions ensuring public safety.
Office Responsibilities:
- Manage daily office tasks and maintain a clean environment.
- Participate actively in meetings and team discussions.
- Support technical services by answering design-related inquiries.
Human Resources:
- Exemplify corporate mission and adhere to HR compliance policies.
- Report any non‐compliance issues.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate excels in a team environment, demonstrates excellent multi-tasking and time management skills, and communicates effectively. A bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil/Structural preferred) is required, with additional certifications seen as a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AUTOCAD and Revit, with BIM experience as an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of structural engineering and building components.
- Familiarity with cold-formed steel framing and related installation methods.
Communication & Management Skills
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Proficient project management and team collaboration.
