Summary
The position involves performing structural analysis, civil engineering, and drafting tasks for cold-formed steel framing in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment. You will work closely with technical support and collaborate with managers and project teams to produce shop drawings and calculation packages.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process Management: Maintain customer relationships, provide technical support, and work with sales teams.
- Engineering Design: Read drawings, produce CAD/BIM detail drawings, perform structural calculations, and assist in design decisions.
- Office Responsibilities: Manage daily office duties, participate in meetings, and support technical services.
- Human Resources: Adhere to company policies, demonstrate compliance with safety, ethics, and HR laws.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate excels in team environments and individual tasks, is adept at multi-tasking, and communicates effectively. A formal background in structural engineering with proficiency in CAD tools like AutoCAD and Revit is required. Familiarity with cold-formed steel framing and the ability to perform structural calculations using software or manual methods is essential.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil/Structural preferred).
- Professional Engineering certification or the ability to take the E.I.T exam.
Additional Skills
- Strong computer and CAD software skills (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Project and time management skills.
