Position Overview
The Management Development Associate will join the Operations Management Trainee Program at the manufacturing facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This program is designed to train motivated individuals to eventually assume Plant Supervisor or higher management roles through an intensive, cross-functional training approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn basic production worker responsibilities
- Operate rollformers, coil slitters, and cold mill reduction machines
- Perform forklift and crane operations safely
- Manage machine scheduling and material resource planning
- Supervise front-line production and logistics
Program Details
This 1-2 year training program provides an in-depth understanding of interdependencies between Sales, HR, Purchasing, IT, and Finance/Accounting. Candidates may begin at one facility and be re-assigned upon program completion.
Qualifications
- College degree in business or manufacturing related disciplines, or equivalent management experience
- Ability to learn and manage complex, cross-functional operations
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Team-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Military experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
