About the Role: Banking & Financial Services Attorney

Clark Hill PLC is seeking an attorney with 5-7 years of experience to join its Banking and Financial Services business unit, specifically in the firm’s financial regulatory and compliance practice. This is a unique opportunity to join industry experts in a growing and specialized practice.

This attorney will assist two partners in:

  • Federal and state regulatory investigations and supervisions.
  • Reviewing policies and procedures, compliance management system infrastructure, and risk management systems.
  • Analysis of various financial services statutes and regulations to support client regulatory expectations in areas such as payments, lending, debt collection, and mortgage servicing for banks and non-banking institutions.
  • Assistance in providing regulatory due diligence for M&A financial services transactions.

This position demands strong subject matter expertise in financial services regulation, extensive legal research, proficiency in work product, analytical and critical thinking, along with strong problem-solving skills, and direct interaction with clients and regulators.

Candidates are expected to be detail-oriented and should possess a solid work ethic and good interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate an interest in supporting and contributing to business development initiatives, including client alerts, industry presentations, conference participation, and relationship-building within the financial services sector. All candidates must be licensed in their home jurisdiction or be eligible for admission.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range at the time of posting is $200,000 - $220,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Clark Hill offers employees the ability to participate in health insurance with optional HSA/FSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, 401K, vacation, sick time, parking/public transportation allowance, and an employee assistance program.
