Job Summary
The Senior Analytics Developer will contribute to the design and maintenance of the overall Analytics system. You will formulate and define specifications for complex operating programming applications, to work as part of a team with influence across a larger organization while representing the Analytics Department. Construct and develop complex procedures to support Analytics application systems, relying on broad experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Work varies with high complexity, requiring a high level of independent judgment within established guidelines. You will be working with end users and cross-sectional managers. This position mentors less experienced team members.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop and test applications that contribute to the Analytics system based on Team Foundation Server requirements that define rules for detection of waste, abuse and fraud on healthcare claims.
- Research, design, develop and test solutions that contribute to the Payment Integrity Reporting and Analytics ecosystem.
- Understand claims flow, savings identification, appeals processing and how fraud, waste and abuse is identified with claims data.
- Be able to work with the research team to create business and system requirements that identify fraud, waste and abuse in health care claims data.
- Analyze system needs and design appropriate reporting solutions as necessary.
- Maintain complex database software and systems.
- Evaluate new and existing software to adapt it to new requirements and improve performance.
- Perform Technical Review of requirements, Analyze source data and provide gap analysis.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects as assigned and interact with research and operations to achieve timely results.
- Review and understand requirements documents. Discuss and clarify requirements as needed with health care researchers and analysts.
- Debug, enhance and improve performance of Structured Query Language (SQL) stored procedures.
- Provide technical leadership to the team and act as mentor to junior team members.
- Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.

Requirements
- Must have 4 to 5 years’ experience with the most recent release of Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS, SSIS); version 2019 or newer preferred.
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services preferred.
- Must have experience creating reports and predictive analytics, data analytics using data mining techniques.
- Knowledge of health care claims analytics and health insurance industry preferred.
- Knowledge of data mapping, extraction, data migration, decision support systems, data marts/data warehousing and relational and dimensional modeling is a plus.
- Knowledge of business requirements gathering, architecting, designing and developing complex SQL Server based systems.
- Experience with one or more Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or SSRS is preferred.
- Experience with process stabilization, performance analysis, code optimization and testing.
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server preferred.
- Knowledge of object oriented programming concepts and design patterns is a plus.
- Understanding of multi-tier distributed software architectures, concurrent programming concepts, and multi-threaded applications.
- Knowledge of project management and execution of multiple projects.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $100K to $105K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
