The Healthcare Analytics Advisor is responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and transforming analytical findings into clear, meaningful insights for internal business partners. This role is primarily not client-facing, but it requires the ability to break down complex information in a way that is easy for non-technical audiences to understand. This position requires strong Excel skills, advanced SQL and Python capabilities, and the ability to turn data into a clear story with actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate is a self-learner who can work through ambiguity, ask the right questions, solve problems creatively, and independently build high-quality analytical outputs with minimal structure. This role is best suited for a hands-on analyst who enjoys digging into data, identifying opportunities, and presenting thoughtful recommendations. It is not intended for candidates focused primarily on IT, ETL development, back-end data loading, or production engineering.DUTIES
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
- Use Excel, SQL, Python, and reporting tools to conduct analysis and generate insights.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, understandable stories for non-technical internal audiences.
- Develop reports, analyses, and recommendations that support business decision-making.
- Independently scope and execute assigned work by identifying key questions, determining approach, and delivering results with minimal oversight.
- Work through roadblocks by researching solutions, asking thoughtful questions, and applying creative problem-solving skills.
- Review analytical outputs for accuracy, consistency, and quality before sharing results.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and deliver meaningful analytical support.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and data security standards.
- Demonstrate commitment to company values and high standards of service.
Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data, this role is considered to be a High Risk Role. The position responsibilities outlined above are not all encompassing. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, Public Health, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in analytics, data analysis, business analysis, consulting, or a related field.
- Advanced SQL and Python (Pandas, Streamlit) skills required.
- Strong Excel skills required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex data sets and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to turn data into a clear story and provide actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal guidance.
- Ability to identify key questions, structure ambiguous problems, and execute solutions effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, with a quality assurance mindset.
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work through roadblocks.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Healthcare experience with billing practices, code sets, and/or revenue cycle management is preferred but not required.
- This is not an IT, ETL, back-end data loading, or production engineering role.
- May require occasional travel.
