The Position
We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to focus on implementations, production support, and feature development on our current Ascend 1.0 platform. Reporting to the CTO, you will partner with Product Operations, Product Management, Customer Success and other Engineering leaders to deliver actionable business insights to biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
Responsibilities
- Lead software engineering for customer implementations and production support.
- Plan and execute the technology roadmap and manage team growth.
- Develop and maintain secure, high-quality production code.
- Partner with cross functional teams to prioritize and deliver platform enhancements.
- Stay current with industry trends and drive innovation in technical solutions.
Who You Are
You are an experienced software development leader with 15+ years in the field and at least 5 years in people management roles. You are hands-on with multiple programming languages including Python and C++, experienced with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
