Position Overview

Our Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, IA locations are seeking Tax/Audit Interns. As a Tax Audit Intern Spring 2027, you will gain direct exposure to tax return preparation, as well as audit, review, compilation and assurance services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and various tax returns.
• Perform audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget.
• Communicate effectively with clients and CLA team members.
• Expand industry knowledge through formal training and peer interactions.
• Complete research and special projects as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree, with Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Eligible for CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and proficient with MS Windows and Office.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.
