About Civil Engineer - Roadway Designer
Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm offering civil site, structural, land surveying, and GIS services. Since 1996, CDI has grown to over 150 team members across six locations in Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky.
The Civil Engineer – Roadway Designer will support CDI's mission of Building Stronger Communities by designing municipal roadway and highway projects including roadways, intersections, interchanges, ADA compliant sidewalks, and multi-use facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and plan production for roadways, highways, and related facilities
- Develop horizontal/vertical alignments, cross sections, and drainage designs
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers for effective project solutions
- Work on diverse project types
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong technical skills in transportation engineering and roadway design
- Experience with governmental clients in KY, MO, and/or IL
- Proficiency with CADD software such as MicroStation/Open Roads Designer, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D
- Good communication skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required, with EI/PE credentials strongly encouraged. Experience range of 1–8 years.

Benefits & Compensation

Anticipated base salary: $67,000 - $90,000 per year.
