About the Support Assistant Role

This Support Assistant position at the City of Toronto supports the City Clerk's Office in municipal democratic decision-making processes, front-line registry services related to vital life events, and public appointments to local Boards.

Major Responsibilities

  • Perform varied administrative tasks including data preparation, research, summary, and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and process documents, statistical summaries, reports, and correspondence.
  • Review and correct work ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and best practices.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, events, and training sessions.
  • Manage record systems, office supplies inventories and assist in budget administration.
  • Operate office equipment and use software packages like Microsoft Office and various city systems.
  • Handle inquiries via email, telephone, and in-person, providing detailed policy and regulations guidance.
  • Process financial transactions including cash handling, bank deposits, reconciliations, and payment processing.
