Position Overview

Start your rewarding career with the City and County of Honolulu. The Insurance & Claims Assistant I role at the Honolulu Board of Water Supply (BWS) is a full-time, permanent position that supports smooth claims management and risk evaluation.

What You'll Do

  • Process Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto claims by reviewing, collecting, and compiling documentation.
  • Coordinate with adjusters and departments, maintain claim files, and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare summaries, reports and process related claim payments.
  • Assist the Risk Manager with screening, directing correspondence, and processing risk reports.
  • Manage office duties including mail distribution, supply management, and errands.

Special Work Requirements

Standard work schedule is Monday - Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with potential requirements to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
