Team/Role Overview
The Markets Quantitative Analysis Department (MQA) is a division of Global Markets at Citi, responsible for providing analytical models used for pricing securities and risk managing the Firm’s positions across a wide range of asset classes including G10 Rates, Local Markets, Credit, Commodities, FX, Equity, Equity Hybrids, and Mortgage/Securitized markets. The scope of this work extends from mathematical derivation, through coding, testing, documentation, validation, and final delivery of models to both desktop and core systems. The MQA Centre of Excellence in Budapest is an integral part of the global MQA structure, playing a key role in developing core tools, processes, and analytics. This role will join the Release Management team within the CoE, focusing on the regular release activities of analytics libraries to meet current and projected business demands, placing you at the heart of a global financial organization.
As a Testing and Release Manager, you will contribute your skills in technical release management, process coordination, and software lifecycle management to Citi’s Markets Quantitative Analysis (MQA) Centre of Excellence.

What You'll Do
- Support the validation and verification of production releases for Equity analytics libraries.
- Monitor the software release lifecycle, following up on failures with development teams.
- Release weekly and ad-hoc versions of the analytical libraries to global locations for user acceptance testing.
- Record, track, and assist with user inquiries directed to the MQA group.
- Develop and enhance tools and processes, primarily using Python and TeamCity.
- Work with other members of the global MQA and Tech teams to share best practices for testing and releases.
What We'll Need From You
- Technical knowledge of: Python, GIT / other Version Control Systems, Linux / Windows operating systems, Databases / SQL, Atlassian JIRA / Bitbucket.
- Understanding of continuous integration systems.
- Experience with complex software development lifecycle management (software builds / tests / sign-off / release flow).
- Demonstrated experience in a software project management or release management role.
- Proven attention to detail, strong interest in project coordination, and technical release management.
- Ability to follow established procedures and operate within strict guidelines, while also creating and updating relevant documentation.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and proactively follow up on issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and perform well under pressure in a Front-Office environment.
- ISTQB Foundation level certificate would be an advantage.
