Technology Project Lead

The IT Project Tech Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. They are recognized as a technical authority within their area and possess basic commercial awareness. This role typically involves collaboration with multiple subject matter experts in the business. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. The position has a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables and provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. The work impacts an entire area, eventually affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

• Develops detailed IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
• Interfaces with senior project staff and client senior management teams regarding project status.
• Recommends and oversees process improvements.
• Has considerable business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
• Provides expertise in their area and an advanced understanding of IT project leadership principles.
• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how their area and others (e.g., architecture or infrastructure) collectively integrate to achieve business objectives.
• Directly impacts the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel, or provided services.
• Acts as an advisor or coach to new or junior analysts; allocates work.
• Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Persuades and influences others through comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
• Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Recommended Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of experience in a related technology role.
• Subject matter expert in the overall field.
• Skills: Project Management, coordination, governance, PTS, AI Tools, Planning, and Delivery.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially a Master’s degree.
