Role Overview

The Quality Engineer - AVP role focuses on modern test engineering practices using an automation-first approach. The candidate will work in a team-based agile environment, collaborating on test plans, automation frameworks, and quality metrics to ensure high software and data service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve test plans for complex applications.
  • Deconstruct business requirements into comprehensive tests.
  • Create reliable test automation using frameworks.
  • Assess testability of user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams and demonstrate strong debugging skills.
  • Share learned insights and recommend productivity enhancing tools.

Qualifications

Candidates should have 9+ years overall experience, with at least 5 years as a Test Engineer. Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript along with extensive experience in test automation frameworks is required. A computer science based education or equivalent experience is needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in performance, load, and security testing.
  • Expertise in black-box and white-box testing.
  • Familiarity with BDD, TDD, CI tools, and various deployment strategies.
