As a Prime Application Support Technical Lead Analyst, you will be a strategic professional staying ahead of developments in your field, contributing to directional strategy. You will be recognized as a technical authority within a specific business area, requiring basic commercial awareness and developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide and influence colleagues and occasional external customers. This role has a significant impact through complex deliverables, providing expert advice and counsel on technology and operations, ultimately affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of your sub-function.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions and meet goals.
• Identify and define necessary system enhancements, analyze existing system logic, identify problems, and recommend and implement solutions.
• Provide expertise in application support principles and an advanced level of understanding.
• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex, high-impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in-depth analysis of business processes, systems, and industry standards; document requirements.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to determine and document systems impacts and support requirements.
• Consider the implications of technology application to the current environment.
• Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues; communicate impact; and propose risk mitigation options.
• Act as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts; allocate work.
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Directly impact the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel, or provided services.
• Persuade and influence others through strong and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
• Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for Citi's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in a Trading Floor Application Support role for Prime or Equities businesses.
• Experience with Linux/Unix, SQL is a must.
• Good knowledge of scripting in Linux and Python.
• Experience in messaging technologies like Solace, Tibco, MQ, or Kafka will be preferred.
• Experience in using batch scheduling tools like Autosys and monitoring tools like ITRS Geneos will be preferred.
• Practical problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
• Service-oriented attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education

Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.
