About the role

About the Role

The Investment Monitoring Analyst will be part of the Technology Investment Planning and Performance team focused on supporting a robust and effective practice for evaluating projects in the Technology Book of Work (BoW). This role ensures projects align with approved Investments, adhere to established standards, and deliver maximum value. The practice aims to reduce risks, improve decision-making, and optimize funding allocation. A key focus will be to identify opportunities for cost savings to ensure the firm’s money is properly allocated to fund the most important work. Reviews should help identify issues early on, provide a channel to raise risks or issues, and ensure teams receive the support needed to deliver against their aligned investment business case.
This role requires strong people skills with sound exposure to project management tools like PTS and Investments@Citi. Strong analytical skills are also required for reporting and analytics to identify potential areas of misalignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the analysis of the Book of Work as it aligns to Investments approved as part of the plan.
  • Assist in project monitoring reviews for in-scope projects, including scheduling, pre-review work, and documenting minutes post-review.
  • Support the integration of Artificial Intelligence or other automation capabilities to analyze the "Book of Work" and streamline pre-review checklist processes.
  • Oversee the Change Management process, ensuring any changes to Investment Requests from the approved plan are properly captured and vetted.
  • Develop subject-matter expertise in the Technology Investment Planning process to partner with investment leads and other stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including Business Execution Leads, PMs, Sponsors, and Investment Leads, and support them with ad hoc investment planning queries.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Tableau is a strong plus.
  • Project Management: Good understanding of the project management lifecycle with a proven track record of managing complex initiatives within large organizational structures. Familiarity with PTS and Investments@Citi is a strong plus.
